Assalamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu
M is sleeping on a pillow made by the Symmetrisleep. I forgot what material is filled in it when the Sleeping Management Team from The Center for Cerebral Palsy told me in the beginning of this year when they came to manage her sleeping problem. This pillow will hold her head so that when she moves she won't get stuck under the pillow and suffocate. She has brackets on both of her sides to keep her body in symmetry. This is important so she will lay straight on her back to keep her back bone nice and straight.
She likes to bend her knees. If she keep on doing this her bones and joints can deform. Sometime she can become very stiff and cross her legs like scissors. This could dislocate her hips. So she need a foam to keep her legs apart. This would decrease the need of orthopedic surgery in future, Insha Allah. Alhamdulillah, since she received the botox injections for her hamstring and abduction muscles, her legs are way too relax.
Masha Allah, if you look at her hands, she opens her fingers quite well. Sometimes she clenches her hands too hard until its look swallow. She likes it if you hold her hands and give her a little massage.
Alhamdulillah, things get easy nowadays in the term of her sleeping time. She still sleeps late, but that is her pattern. She did not annoyed anyone except me who rather stay up to be with her.
